Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono will arrive in Islamabad on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Pakistan.
During the visit, he will hold wide ranging talks on bilateral issues with Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
Both sides will also exchange views on regional and global issues.
The Japanese Foreign Minister will also meet Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
In a statement, the foreign office spokesperson said Pakistan and Japan have witnessed steady progress in political, economic, trade and other fields and visit of Taro Kono will help further cement our bilateral ties.
