Pakistan Navy Flotilla comprising Submarine HURMAT along with sail ship PNS RAHNAWARD and support ship PNS RASADGAR visited Muscat for goodwill-cum-training visit. Commander Submarines, Commodore Altaf Hussain commanded the flotilla as Mission Commander. On arrival at port Sultan Qaboos, the ships were given a warm welcome by Royal Navy of Oman. He was talking to the students of Rashidabad Education City of Tando Allah Yar, who called on him in Islamabad on Monday. Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono will arrive in Islamabad on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Pakistan. During the visit, he will hold wide ranging talks on bilateral issues with Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif. Both sides will also exchange views on regional and global issues. The Japanese Foreign Minister will also meet Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. In a statement, the foreign office spokesperson said Pakistan and Japan have witnessed steady progress in political, economic, trade and other fields and visit of Taro Kono will help further cement our bilateral ties.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has appreciated the role of Pakistan Red Crescent in humanitarian assistance, its operations during disasters and provision of health services. He was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Red Crescent led by its Chairman Dr. Saeed Elahi, which called on him in Islamabad. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi has announced the establishment of shipyard in Gwadar. Speaking as chief guest at Pakistan Navy’s second`PN-Industrial Seminar’ in Karachi, he said the project would commence shortly and will be completed in three to five years.
