Justice (Retired) Nasirul Mulk has taken oath as caretaker Prime Minister. He was administered oath of office by President Mamnoon Hussain at a simple but impressive ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad Firday. The ceremony was attended, among others, by outgoing Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, members of the former cabinet, governors of four provinces and services chiefs. Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to put efforts for sustainable economic relations and to take steps to formalize economic activities between the two countries. The agreement was reached during a meeting between National Security Advisor Nasir Khan Janjua and a business delegation from Afghanistan in Islamabad. They discussed ways and means to promote bilateral economic relations and trade. Both the sides agreed to remove difficulties faced by traders in order to improve trade volume between the two countries.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says political stability is a prerequisite for sustainable economic development in the country. He was addressing a ceremony after performing of ground breaking of two projects, Dera Ghazi Khan Northern bypass and Rakhi Gaj Bewata part-1, in Dera Ghazi Khan on Saturday. A ceremony was held at Pakistan’s Embassy in Dakar, Senegal in connection with Pakistan Day. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Senegal Muhammad Imran Mirza hoisted the national flag. The messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out on this occasion. In Singapore Pakistan Day was also celebrated with traditional zeal and fervour.
